I attended a two-day SIV clinic with coach Marcello DeBarros at Grand Lake in Celina, Ohio. Over four flights, I did stalls, spins, asymmetric collapses, spirals and B-line stall. Most of my focus was on doing full stalls, both slowly induced and dynamic full stalls. I didn't get it on video, but a dynamic full stall in my first flight almost went very bad when I released the stall at the wrong time. The wing reinflated and shot out front and under me. All the lines went slack as I fell down towards it, narrowly missing the leading edge. Then there was the sudden stop at the end. Got a half twist in the risers but that sorted itself out before I could even reach up to separate the risers. I had trouble maintaining the back fly, I think because I did this clinic without taking a wrap. Still so much to learn!
